April Branch is a mother of four and a home educator since 2008. She holds degrees in both Liberal Arts and Bachelor of Science. In college, April served as a delegate in the Harvard World Model United Nations college debate conference as well as Vice President of her Academic Honors Society. She worked as a litigation paralegal for 12 years before deciding to stay home to educate her children.
April is experienced in the Charlotte Mason method of Classical teaching to students at various age groups from elementary to middle school and high school. She has taught Literature, Narration and formal Composition (including Lost Tools of Writing Level I and II), History, Science, Algebra, Formal Logic, Philosophy, Nature Study, 1st and 2nd Year Latin, Debate, and has served as a Mock Trial Coach for several years. Her most fulfilling part of teaching is helping students to find joy in learning.

Upon graduation from Virginia Tech, Melissa worked in residential design in NY, NY where she was exposed to high-end design alongside some renown architects and designers in the industry such as Robert A.M. Stern and Thom Filicia. Honing lifelong skills of client-relationships and presentation techniques were developed through working with numerous clients and on project types including television set design. For almost two decades Melissa has resided in Charlotte, NC with a focus on commercial design interiors surrounding primarily around financial service firms and workplace headquarters. Melissa has a passion for mentorship and encouraging students’ awareness of design excellence and the power of design.
